Compassion
We meet every child with kindness, understanding, and respect.
For two decades, compassion has moved us from meeting urgent needs to building strong foundations for lifelong success.
Daya Foundation was founded in 2006 by Suresh Chandra Mehta, Rajendra Sharma, and Shanti Mehta with a heartfelt mission to stand beside children facing circumstances beyond their control.
Across Delhi, poverty, abandonment, loss, abuse, and family separation can interrupt a child's safety, health, education, and sense of belonging. Behind every circumstance is a unique child—with a voice, a dream, and potential waiting to be recognized.
We work alongside child care institutions, caregivers, donors, volunteers, schools, and community partners to create a dependable circle of care around each child.
We imagine a society where every child can grow, learn, and reach their full potential—regardless of background or circumstance.
We meet every child with kindness, understanding, and respect.
Every child deserves the same chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
We serve honestly, transparently, and with responsibility.
We build confidence, practical skills, and independence.
We believe lasting change is something we create together.
A difficult beginning should never decide the future of a child. When we provide education, care, encouragement, and opportunities, we give children the ability to believe in themselves and create a better tomorrow.
